Top 5 Couch Co-Op Games to Play with Bae

Overcooked. Play it.

Yeah, Netflix and chill is cool, but have you ever screamed at your television with your significant other

Whether or not you’re in a five-year relationship or two-week fling, a great way to test your (maybe it’s a friends with benefits fling?) to see if they’re the one is by seeing how well you game together. Here are five games to play with your flame to keep the love in the air after St. Valentine has left our lives:

1. Overcooked ($17)

This game will either tear you two apart or strengthen your teamwork bond. There is no in-between, casual play. This is a life or death kitchen where you must work together to complete orders in time. Trust me, this isn’t your grandmother’s cooking game.

2. A Way Out ($29.99)

Playing as two convicts with a surprisingly captivating narrative, escape from prison together and reunite with your families. It’s what best buds do: put your S.O. to the ultimate ride-or-die test.

3. Little Big Planet (varies)

Dust off your ol’ PS3 and enter the time machine back to 2011 where we remember how fun playing Little Big Planet was with your friends and family. Two rag dolls navigating obstacles and working together turned out to be way more fun than that sentence just sounded.

4. Luigi’s Mansion 3 ($59.99)

Finally, in Luigi’s Mansion 3, you can summon your goop buddy to help you on your ghost hunting adventure!

5. Super Smash Bros. ($59.99)

This one always gets a groan every time I suggest it to my partner, especially when I start it with, “Wanna smash?” and they quickly realize I’m talking about Pikachu electrocuting them into rage quitting.
